Joby Aviation, valued at $5.2 billion, has been developing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxis for 15 years. The company plans to commence commercial operations by the end of 2025, starting in Dubai, due to expedited certification processes. Their eVTOL aircraft can carry four passengers and a pilot, reaching speeds up to 200 mph with a range of 100 miles. The Federal Aviation Administration has recently provided final guidance for certification, marking a significant step forward for the company.
